I am growing two squash for the seeds so they are getting quite big. I planted yellow zucchini next to green zucchini and the crossed. My oldest son is into plants so he wanted me to save some seeds so he could see how they would turn out next year. They are from an organic grower so they should be okay next year or not revert. I think so anyway. The one in the picture is 17 inches long and 12 inches around. The other one (not pictured) is 21 inches long and 16 inches around. It is about 5 inches high from the ground.

I also measured a cosmos growing in the other backyard and it is 65 inches tall. It has buds now so when it blooms I will get a picture of it. Dooley

Well I love shrimps but have never tried squash. I wouldn't even know how to begin cooking it. Sad

Your squash is looking really good Dooley - how big will it be when it's ready to pick?

Well, I never saved the seeds before so I thought I would just wait for the plant to die and then pick them. The vine is still green so I'll have to see. I'll take a picture when I pick them. I picked a smaller one and the seeds weren't really formed yet, not to plant anyway. Dooley
