Last fall my hubby brought me home this chair.
I could hardly sleep that night thinking about it. I had this leafman face I saw on the web and had to have it.
My husband laughs at the seat. He says you can tell I was watching the World Series while working on it.
He brought me this home Saturday.
I can hardly wait for the weekend to get started.

Haha you are amazing Bethie  The faces you create have such character I would definitely be giving them names! Do you actually use that chair or is it purely ornamental?
Any ideas for the new chair skeleton?

No, this chair is strictly ornamental. I wouldn't want to sit on glass.  On the new one we're going to cut out some backerboard (this is a cement based board that holds up outdoors) in the shape of a butterfly and then mosaic it. I won't know what shape the seat will take until I get the back done.  I think sometimes my husband is afraid to sit still too long or he might end up glassed!

Just gorgeous Bethie.
I have never wanted to try mosaic but yours is pushing a button in the "crafty center" of my brain. This could hurt....just what I need is another idea.

Amazing talent.I love the leaf face and can't wait to see the new one. I want to try mosaics so bad, I just have to find time. I have a bowling ball, I am going to probably use plates. What should I use to attach the pieces to the BB before I grout it? Or can I just come spent the winter with you and you can teach me everything you know. LOL

Maybe make the seat some flower that attracts butterflies and it will (maybe) look like the buterfly is about to land on it to go about its business.

Always use a silicone glue for everything outdoors. I wouldn't mind the company but I am known in some circles as a Demanding Perfectionist-go figure!

How lucky you are to have your husband bring you garden surprises! I love stuff like that. You can keep the wine and roses, bring me something old and rusty for my flower bed!!
