I made friends with Star Bucks coffee. They are saving the coffee grounds for me. I'm getting a 5 gallon pail a day for my gardens and compost. Sure smells good in the garden.

Hi Carolyn, No blueberries. Wonder how many critters they would bring into my yard?

Starbucks around here used to have 1 and 5 pound bags of grounds sitting next to the doors for anyone to take. But that was about 5 years ago and I haven't been into a Starbucks in a couple of years....don't like their coffee.

They are great in compost and worm bins. When you put them sparingly on the ground be sure to work them into the soil. They tend to clump together while wet and sometimes become moldy.

    Toni,
I don't care for their coffee either. They are in the grocery store where I shop. Thanks for the input.

That's so much better than the grounds simly going to waste. I wonder if our Starbucks would be willing to spare some for my own garden. I'll ask them at the week-end. :-D :-D

Take them a bucket and I'm sure they will gladly save for you.
