Hi, that's my first post here, I hope I choose the right forum for my question.

A few weeks ago I bought different Coneflower seeds.

    1. Coneflower Amado 36"
    2. Purple Coneflower (Purpurea 32")
    3. Coneflower Bravado

I would like to start the seeds soon, so I looked online how it would be done right. But I got a little confused. Some say I should put them for 6 Weeks in the fridge before I can start them, other sides don't say anything about that at all.

How do it right and would it be to early to start the seeds now?

    Hi Chris and welcome aboard.

I started some indoors in the middle of November. And a few sprouted within a couple of weeks.
The seeds were in the refrigerator for at least a month (that's where I store all of them once they are harvested). I don't know if it helped it or not.

I'm sure someone with real answers will come along shortly to pass along advice (which I'm interested in too since I just love Coneflowers).

Great idea Cherylad! I have done winter sewing outside, but your method of chilling/ storing the seed right after harvest and then planting seems ideal. I will definitely keep it in mind for next years harvest.
