My mother recently had two of her old school chums come over for a visit to the States. The three of them were planning a trip to Vancouver Island (it's part of Canada). One of them stopped to purchase a hat as it was too sunny. What she did not realize was the pretty leaf on the front was in fact a marijuana leaf and the back of the hat read CANNABIS
SATIVA. My mum had a fit and insisted that she remove it for the border crossing and her friend got quite cross and called her an old rat bag. I thought it was hysterical. In the end Mum had her way.
By the way, British Columbia is known for its potent "B.C. Bud" and the border is highly patrolled to detect smugglers. I try to picture these seemingly cute little old ladies as smugglers and it just makes me grin.

Muddy that sounds like my mother as she would have had no idea .  Mother had a parakeet and always threw the bottom of the cage seeds and poop over our back fence when she cleaned the cage.My dad came inside one day and had a pretty purple flower in his hand ask mother what it was she didn't have any idea of where he got it .It looked just like pot
call the law .Even the cops had to mash the leaves to make sue it wasn't it wasn't but was so funny.Never ID it either.

So funny. When my brother was still a kid at home my Mother bought "reefer reliefer" incense for his Christmas stocking. We died laughing over this because he only burned incense for ONE reason!
