I finished more garden totems using items from my garage sale and flea market travels. One has sand and sea shells and some of the others have bird figurines inside.

Oh wow. I had no idea what you meant when you said garden totems. They are so special. How do you hold them together? Do you sell them? Do you have pics of them in your garden? Is it cold there yet? I think so according to my parents in Spring Lake.

pondlady I learned how to do them from cajunbelle's tutorial here at GardenStew. I plan on giving these away as gifts if I can part with them. the one with the hummingbird may have to find a place in my garden next spring. I did post a picture of my first one in my garden a while back.

Fine-looking totems Polly. Must have been a lot of work?

Jan here is the link to the glass totems tutorial:

Polly, those are awesome, I am so glad you enjoy making them. They are great as gifts to people who like gardening.

Pondlady, if you check the hobbies and crafts forum you will find some more pics of totems and the tutorial I did. They may be listed in the sub forum "garden junk", or just google glass garden totems, the first listing should be a link to the tutorial. If you have any questions just ask.

Glendann, I can't wait to see your totem.

Oh my those are really, really beautiful. I'd end up keeping them all to myself as I just couldn't see me being able to give them away.

I am such a klutz that I'm not sure I could ever make anything of glass. But you'd better be sure I'll read the forum and give it a try just once. Thanks so much for doing those Polly. Just one more beautiful thing in the world.
