Brown spots on leaves and stems of Pothos "marble Green

My marble pothos has brown spots on the leaves and stems. What would cause this?

Bacteria, cool temperatures or water left on the leaves. Do the leaf spots have a a soft mushy center or yellow edge? Has there been any recent rapid changes in temperature? A picture might help.

I will take a picture. There are no mushy leaves, just brown edges.

 

Without seeing any pictures, the most likely cause of brown spots on pothos is overwatering.

I am an over waterer! I transplanted it to a little larger pot and it seems happier. Thanks for the info!
