I know people here in the States go wild for Halloween decorations, but do people in the rest of the world celebrate it as big as we do? The stores are full of decorations and I have even seen some of them displayed outside homes too. And it's more than a month away!

Well this is my first Hallowe'en in Sweden but I don't see any decorations yet. I guess I won't for another 2 weeks either. Ireland would be the same as here.

I think it's ridiculous that decorations are up so soon but I can totally understand it from a commercial point of view.

We don't really celebrate Hallowean in this part of Scotland I'm afraid. Sad We used to get involved more when our kids were young but, sadly, no more.

Like you Eileen ,since the kids are grown I don't do any decorations.I really never did decorate .I always bought costumes and bunches of candy.
I just don't see putting up lights and
cutting out faces on pumpkins and such .My problem is I just don't like holidays.

I dislike the creepy, ghoulie things taking over the stores - seems they start in the middle of September anymore, and we have to endure it clear til the end of October when it gets really schizophrenic, one aisle with Halloween ghosts, one with Nativity scenes and Santa Claus to get the jump on Christmas. Sigh...

Our church is doing a castaways theme party for Halloween night, to give our preschoolers and youth a lighter alternative - treasure maps, candies, crafts and games, posing on a fake raft with fake fish, heh... I help decorate and run the games, the little ones are so cute.

We usually have a harvest festival at our church to counter act the halloween celebrations. We have games and candy and food for the kids sadly halloween has become a dangerous time since I was a kid what with people tampering with the candy and such.
