Perennial sunflowers, I think

I think that these are perennial sunflowers. I planted them a couple of years ago - I didn't think that they came up last year. This plant is about 7-8 ft. tall and has just started to bloom.

Really bright and sunny looking Polly. Yellow is such a cheerful colour in a garden. Very Happy

We have those growing wild everywhere down here. They are pretty and when they bloom we know that fair time is just around the corner. Last year was the first time in 20 years that we did not attend the parish or state fair. Both were cancelled bc of the hurricanes.

I have a patch of these in my strawberry bed at home. They are great at this time of year, a really welcome burst of colour!
