Hi Everyone!

Not sure I am doing this right?
My name is Dee and I am from the US,
I use to help my Elderly neighbor in her garden as a little girl, and for years I have always wanted to start my own garden, But just never had the time or room for it, and can use alot of help. My hobbies are crafts, and I am an Artist, I also have been working on my family tree for quite a few years now, and have roots in Scotland, Ireland, Newfoundland, and England. I would love to be able to learn ,more about flowers and plants from abroad, and even try to grow them. Nice to meet you all!!!

Hi! I'm from the US too. Arizona to be precise. I don't know much about plants from abroad. They grow a lot of the same plants that we grow. Maybe more colorful. I love the pictures they post. Especially Irish gardens. Welcome! Dooley

Nice to meet you too Dee, welcome to our community here at GardenStew! We are always pleased to have US gardeners or gardeners from anywhere for that matter. It gives some many different perspectives on things Mr. Green

I'm Irish by the way. What are you Irish roots if I may ask? Could we be related Laughing

Hi All,

Well we built a house a few years ago and have been nursing the plants that the gardener planted when the house was build.

However we decide to try a few new things and thought it would be good to get involved on the internet to learn more before we destroy these new plants as we both do not have green thumbs.

Currently we have 2 projects,

Mine are 2 grapevines

Her's an apricot tree.

Will post my question under the correct forum areas. Thanks for any advice you may give.

Hi Jolley,

Well you've picked the right place to find out all about gardening. Mr. Green Are you from the US too by any chance? I presume you are as we British can't grow apricots except in a greenhouse. Looking forward to reading your posts.

Hi all. Now that we have a new "Welcome to GardenStew" forum to greet our new members I will lock this topic now. It had a good inning though.

Farewell "Just joined? Announce yourself"
