I just received a Kalanchoe from my secret sister. How do I care for it? Is it an indoor or outdoor plant? It is so beautiful I don't want to lose it. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Lots of Kalanchoes - two major types are the Bryophyllums, which grow tiny plantlets along the leaf edges, and the "true" Kalanchoes which do not but have upright flowers. All are from Madagascar and want to be kept warm. The most common sold is the very pretty K. blossfeldiana. In California, Florida, and along the Gulf Coast you can find K. tubiflora (very narrow leaves) and K. daigremontiana with broad leaves - both are Bryophyllums and are aclled "Mother of Thousands" - they are invasive in these subtropical areas.
