I found this website that may be of some use to you Gardener42. http://www.frontiercoop.com/auracacia/aclearn/eo_basil.html All I really know, personally, is that the parts of the basil plant you use to make essential oil are the leaves and flowering tops and that to extract the oil you have to use steam distillation. _________________
