After looking for ages trying to obtain a scorpion ornament, I finally am successful. Although not mounted on a wooden plinth (which could be added by myself later), it is a solid stand-alone model (13cm x 7cm), brown in colour, quite realistic. If I hadn't found and bought it myself, I'd have been delighted, being a Scorpio, to receive it as a birthday/christmas present. It now has pride of place in my room.

Well done C.J. Glad you found one. Now can you guess what the next question is going to be? Any chance of a piccie?

I can do even better than that. The model was created by Country Artists Ltd, and if you go to their website and click on the Natural World Section, then on the scorpion for details, then on the scorpion again, it will give a fantastic enlargement image of it.

That's the one
Great isn't it ?
The model is as good as it looks in the photograph, not cheap plastic or anything.
I'll need to remember I've got it, as it is placed right beside my bed. Hopefully, I'll not get a fright tomorrow morning and hit it with a book !

I would be tempted to call the authorities to come over with automatic weapons. And do it NOW.

We had scorpions when we lived down the hill. They are not nice. They sting, you swell and itch and itch and it is very painful. Wish I had known you were looking. They sell scorpions encased in resin as souveniers. I could send a postcard too. Dooley

Having been stung by those nasty things on 5 different occasions, when I see one, I grab a hammer. That is not something I would catch and release. I would rather deal with a rattlesnake. Luckily, we now live at too high an altitude for scorpions. dr

Not sure I'd want to have dealings with the real thing, however, I am tempted to acquire a book about them, in order to obtain a bit of knowledge - Scorpions. by Manny Rubio - is a title which caught my attention.
