I bought this plant about 5-6 years ago. It was advertised for full shade but gets 3-4 hrs of morning sun and is doing well. I would like to get another one for a shade garden but do not know what to ask for. Also how do you propagate one?

Common name is Spotted Laurel John. I have one called 'Golden mist' and love it. :-D

You could probably take cuttings from new wood in the spring, dip them in rooting hormone and pot them in moist soil of some kind and see if they begin growing. It can't hurt, since you likely prune it anyhow.

You can also bend a branch and tuck it under the soil/mulch. I have had them multiply themselves for me this way.

A stem should suffice. I tried once, with success, by letting it root under water. Takes its own time but it's worth the waiting :)
