I was out cutting the last boards for our new raised bed. When I noticed a couple of small squirrels playing in the oak trees, soon an audience of about four cats and two of mother-in -laws dogs were shadowing their every move, and the squirrels were more than happy to play. I had a fine time as I finished and never was I bored while do I job that I didn't mind doing. Isn't nature beautiful Smile

I find it strange that we as humans separate ourselves from 'nature'. We are on integral part of it. Think a web with everything interconnected. We, as gardeners, have lots of connected strings.

We humans separate ourselves from the rest of nature because we spend so much time, effort and money trying our best to destroy it. Ask any developer. We feel we have the right to trash it all if it suits our purposes.

And if we continue to separate ourselves and destroy our earth, we soon will not have a safe earth on which to live. I think 2012 is the estimate of when the water will be too polluted to drink and global warming will be such that we cannot survive, but no one really seems to care.
