I guess I have never seen badger pictures before as I didn't know what they looked like. I really like the first one - kind of looks like how I feel today - all tired out.

Badger looks like a flat gray rock with a white stripe. Is that her own stuffed toy in the second pic. I think she is beautiful. I don't think I have ever seen one live and in person, or should I say, in badger. Where do they live?

Being from a farming background I have a slightly tainted view of badgers. They unfortunately can spread disease to cattle (tuberculosis) so we definitely did not want to see them around our parts. A shame because they are quite interesting animals.
I've also seen one or two badger roadkills in my time as well.
Great photos Dan. Most mornings I feel like the first photo, too lazy to get outta bed

Badgers in the US are agressive, nasty-tempered critters. Get too close to their burrow and they're liable to try and take your leg off.

Ours are quite docile most of the time Dan and just get on with their lives if undisturbed. They do have very strong jaws and claws though and if attacked can certainly do a good job of defending themselves.

Eileen, love GB badgers. I suppose if I came face to face with a US one, I might consider them a PITA, but until then, I think they are just adorable. But GB ones are much cuter.

Wisconsin is the Badger State. The University of Wisconsin has a badger for a mascot. There are a lot of badgers in the northern part of the state. It is more rural. Andy sent me a badger wearing a t-shirt with the university logo. It hasn't been agressive at all. Dooley
