Gorgeous! Will you have to dig them in the fall or will they winter over?

I dig them up before frost (around early Nov) each year.

I was at the Edinburgh botanic garden with my daughter a few weeks ago and fell in love with their dahlias. They are some of the showiest flowers at this time of year and all are very beautiful - just like your two lovely ladies.

    Tina,
They are both beautiful. I have four of them but they did not do very well this year. Its their first year, do I have to did up the bulbs before the frost?

Yes, from what I have read and researched, Dahlias are tender tubers and so they need to be brought in before the frost. I dig them up and put them in peat moss. Good luck.

    Tina,
Thank you VERY much. I will cut them even with the ground and then dig up the bulbs. Have a great weekend. :-D
