Hi there nice to have you join us at GardenStew. 
I'm afraid I don't know of any weedkiller that you could apply to your ivy without killing it Crazedhick3. Looks as though your going to have to pull it by hand unless someone else on the forums can come up with another solution for you. Sorry.  Do wear gardening gloves if you are pulling though as grass cuts can be very painful.
Hoping to see more of you on the boards soon.
