We take ourselves to a really large thrift store about 3 times a month and have found several really good buys. Randy picked up a pump Espresso maker for $7 (retails for $80) and it works perfectly.
These are my latest finds.
The "birdhouse on a stick" is going in a bed yet to be made. Right now the bed is overrun with raspberry vines and will have to be changed in shape and size when we make the path for the riding lawn mower to turn the corner. It needs to be cleared out as much as possible, then I am going to sprinkle lime over the area to hopefully prevent the vines from coming back, cover the area with heavy plastic and several inches of mulch. The previous owner stapled wire over the hole so birds wouldn't nest in it, but that will come off when we get it out there. Not sure what to plant in the planter box, probably a short growing vine of some kind. The little cart was just too cute to pass up, might find another mini rose for it.
The copper sink is complete with a really nice faucet and all the hose parts for hooking it up to a water supply. Randy plans to make a stand for it, hook it up to the faucet by the back door so I will have a place to wash up when needed, water newly potted plants, etc.

Now who could possibly part with that birdhouse and cart? I sure wouldn't. Great find Toni. What was the point of stapling wire over the hole I wonder  ?

Bird poop is not a pretty thing on your planter or porch. It was probably used strickly as a decorative item.

Great items toni love the bird house.and the sink.The people that had it may have had wasp problem as I do .Around here the people that build them put stoppers in the holes and I ask why and was told the wasp build hugh nest in them.Thats another possiblity besides poop.

Why can't I ever find stuff like that at thrift shops over here?  Love everything and I'm sitting here wishing they were all mine.

Glenda, I forgot about wasps. We haven't had a problem with them in years but I do remember a friend of my Mom's having to cover her birdhouse entrances years ago because of them.
I almost didn't find that sink. There was a large box of newly arrived items in one of the back rooms with several people around it, I almost didn't bother looking in to see what was there. It's a tiny sink, only 15" square, really deep and with that high faucet looks like it was originally in a wet bar.

Nice finds Toni!! I love thrift shops, yard sales and flea markets!!**dreamily wishing I was at one now!!**lol!!
I bought a big box of flat unpaited wooden shapes at a yard sale the other day for $3.00!! I'm thinking when they are painted and sealed they will make great decorations for birdhouses!!
