EEK!!! Caught me out again!!!  Are you sure it's a bee 'cause it doesn't look like any bee I've ever seen. Maybe AlleyCooper will see your post and recognise it but I certainly don't. I hope I never come face to face with one either!!!

To be honest I do not read the post here. It is awful hard for me to read them as I have pointed out lines are on top of lines.
I got a PM to look at this bee. Isn't a bee as I know them, looks to be a wasp of sorts. A deformed yellow jacket is all I can say right now. Colors are about right to be a German one, wing size is on the small size but those deforities do happen.

Thanks for your imput Al. I guessed it wasn't a bee but really didn't have a clue what it was.  I was hoping you could shed some light on it for Gizmo and you have.

I am glad that thing is not here with me!!! Any time something with a stinger is near it seems to seek me out like an air to ground missle!!lol I don't know what it is either!!

I thought it might be a type of "spider wasp" but is does look deformed somewhat. I bet its stinger works, though.

Well now I see those piccies it's definately NOT a bee. Some kind of wasp (probably eats humans for breakfast ) so I'd steer well clear. Not that I'm a coward where wasps are concerned - nope - not me.

That could be what people here call Ground Hornets veryu aggresive and buildnest in the ground came in from SA just like the fire ant. If you run over the nest with your Lawn Mower you learn to dismount and run.
