What to do with right side back corner of the yard Confused . Started it out as compost. "That didn't look nice. I'll put a Banana Tree in".

Looks like something is growing with the banana tree. It bloomed into lily's, must have happened when adding to the compost heap - banana project.

Boy the lilys took over the banana tree

This makes it more tropical looking (garage sale steel)

Looking good Gizmo. Mr. Green Those lilies are stunning and I love the banana tree. I can never find great things like everyone else does at garage sales and flea markets!! Sad

Have you got anyhting else in mind to put into the bed?

I was going to put some pineapple. If anyone wants to know how to get them free just ask me. I have a lighthouse to put there too. You wouldn't even known it was a cookie jar (garage sale)lol. I'll take a pic of it if u like.

You are lucky the cannas took over. Banana trees are just a nuisance waiting to happen. Great shots!

That looks like a Canna growing with it Gizmo.I have Canna's everywhere .I do like how your corner project is going.We do want pictures of your lighthouse.

This is my yellow canna ,My mom called them Flags.I have a red one and a light orange one they do grow tall.Does this look like your plant?




I have moved them away from my house and now all of mine are where they can spread .

Yes it looks like yours. Can u send pic's of the others u have please. I did think Canna's were a type of lil'y. They grow like wild fire. I have one on the side of the house (already posted) I guess my clippings got into the compost luck for me.

Gizmo your cannas are very pretty!! I have yellow ones!! I love your pelican sitting on the wooden pillars, it's soooo cute!!!Your corner looks very good!!

Looks great Gizmo. Cannas do tend to take over. I have some really tall red single flowering cannas that are a pain in the butt. I hate to do it but I think they will go in the garbage can this spring.

I plant mine where we have a ditch and it keeps the ditch from washing more and catches the dirt washind down and stops it.I have more to move.Go to Shannas blog Gizmo and you can see the red ones and the orange pictures were messed up at Walmarts photo center.In fact 8 rolls almost all my vacaton pictures and plants.I may have a picture of the same ones but in Shannas yard.

Oh I forgot it is a type of lilly,a Canna Lilly.Look it up on search engine they grow from seeds and tubers.
