Good evening all. It's already dark here at 8:20pm, a sure sign that autumn is on it's way. The kids have already gone to bed, I guess the first day of school was tiring. I had a busy day at work too so I guess I'll be heading to bed early.

Am surviving the first days of school. Work is going well. Enjoy seeing all the students and meeting new ones. Miss puttering in the garden and hanging out with the dogs though.

Absolutely perfect evening after work. We set out in the back yard and ate dinner. Took a little time to watch the dogs play tag and chase. They have the paths around the garden looking like race tracks, and the dirt flys as the gallop after each other. Wonderful way to come home and relax.

Another fine day. Enjoying a meal of tomatoes topped with bread crumbs, taco seasoning and cheese and toasted in the oven. Yum!

We are retraining our dogs (and ourselves) and they are having to "learn their place in the pack". It is hard work being a "pack leader", but much quieter and calmer.

Since school has started, I miss having time to putter outside and on GS too... maybe I can get used to being online in the evenings....

Know what you mean Daisybeans by missing time to be outside and prowl the Stew. Lovely evening tonight as I took the dog for a walk and enjoyed not just the fantastic pink sky, but also a couple of front yard gardens. One had the hugest tomatoes, gorgous red chard and some kale just begging for an extra look. Fun being out in the neighborhood.

Good evening all! Boy, it sure was a tiring day, but it's all winding down now. Tomorrow our fall fair starts and we will be spending the day there. Hopefully a few of our home grown goodies will win a prize :)

Good evening to all. What a beautiful day it was here today. Sunshine and in the 60's. Did some outside yard work today-enjoyed the sunshine we had. Also got my car cleaned out. Man I could live with this kind of weather all winter.

I am really glad the day is over for me today and looking for a brighter tomorrow. I was shocked to see my luffa lying on the ground this morning and there is no hope of saving it because the trellis broke in the storm the night before. :(

My whole bed of 'choy sum' a kind of brassica or mustard was eaten up maybe by hoppy. I just had them transplanted from the nursery a couple of days ago...ARRGH!!!! Only the stem remain, the tiny tender leaves were all gone :'(

By noon I noticed that my pole bean was starting to wilt even though it just started flowering .....why!!why!!why!! :'(

The day is gone and is the past ...... tomorrow????

Good Monday evening all. We have a wicked winter storm hitting tonight...high winds and snow squalls. Seems like the perfect kind of night for snuggling up in bed with a good book, don't you think?

Good evening all. Our snow came back for a visit today. I was sure it was going to be away for a while :)

Today, I was happy. It was 70 degs and mostly sunny. I sat out reading my book until about 5 pm. Once the sun started down it began to cool. Tomorrow may be the same but only partly sunny and more clouds. dooley
