I took Cheyenne Trick Or Treating tonight .We went to the nursing home as the elderly people in the homes were waiting for the little goblins to show up and seemed so happy to have them come.We then went on to the store and went store to store as they were at the doors with bowls of candy .I then took her to the home of George Richie's (Tammy Wynettes widow)He and Sheila his now wife (Ex Dallas Cheerleader)have a beautiful home here as she went to school with Kevin. Her mom Rita and her twin brother Reed were a grade above me and other Sisters went to school with me and my brother( Rita was one of 13 children)They had a big Halloween Party all was out side greeting Adults and children we walked down the front of the home and a little graveyard in the yard had tombstones with RIP on them , a hand sticking out of one, and a head laying in a chair .I did get pics but will have to wait until I get them developed.Took Pictures of Cheyenne on a thron .Sheila met us at the door and escorted into her home .Past the music room which has A huge beautiful piano and all of the Platinum and gold Albums on the wall Pictures of Tammy and of George and so many Country stars. Then into a hugh den where we donated to Unicef on into Living room and into dining room where a hugh buffet was set out ,Veggies and dips sandwiches cup cakes all decorated for Halloween cookies bags to put candy into and then she picked out the candy she liked, drinks and Rita then told Cheyenne and I we could browse around in the music room which had an entrance from the dining room.We saw cotton that Tammy picked her self all kinds of things ,just wonderful to get to see into her life just a little .No we did not get to meet George but was shown a good time by his wife and her relatives.
Wish you could all have been with us.

Sounds absolutely wonderful Glenda and something that Cheyenne will always remember!!
Nothing happened here at all last night. The village just isn't the same as it used to be sadly.

I had no trick or treaters also. My 1/4 mile driveway is scary enough in the daytime, let alone at night on Halloween! About 8 years ago on Halloween, my wife and I were watching TV and I heard a noise at the front door. I told my wife that it was probably some of John's kids ( our neighbor then) trick or treating. I opened up the front door and started laughing. My wife asked if it was a trick or treater and I said yes, he has his mask on! She came over to the door and she too started laughing. There on the porch at the door was a half grown raccoon with his paws out wanting something! He had scratched on the door and that was what we had heard! I don't know what possesed him to do that as we don't feed them or encourage them in any way!

How cool. Look forward to seeing the photos.

As a neat aside, my daddy played back up for Tammy Wynette back in 1965 when she appeared on The Country Boy Eddie Show in Birmingham, Alabama. A bit before she became real famous.
