I really like your final choice. It is bright and cheerful and goes great with the color of your furniture.

Barb, when I finally get the room set up, sure. Currently I'm still living out of bins and and such, and none of my furniture is here, no pictures on the walls etc. All that's coming, but it will be several more weeks before it actually looks like the comfortable, serene space that I envision.

When it's done, I'll be blowing up the forum with pictures!! You know me. 8)

Wow! Does it make your heart sing? What a transformation from the gray! It is such a happy color (to me). The gray days of winter won't seem so dark with that glow. Love it.

You did a terrific job. How many coats of paint did it take? And like Barb, I can't wait to see how you put it all together. From our sneak peek I can tell it will be Home and Garden perfect.

Jewel I decided to buy premium paint that has primer included....Behr Premium Plus Ultra. Even so, not knowing how many coats it was going to take to cover such a dark color, I went ahead and primed all the trim areas because I could just slap that paint on, and I knew I didn't want to be doing that tedious and painstaking trim work more than once if I could avoid it.

I got what I wanted. All the trim areas (around the doors and baseboards, and where the walls meet the ceiling) I just had to paint once.

I rolled the walls fully twice, and then in random areas did further touch up. I was very pleasantly surprised that the paint covered the gray that well.

The first coat was a lot of work. Coverage was really hard. But that second coat just glided on quickly.
