The project is called "Knit your Bit" ...crocheters too.
They are asking for scarves for Veterans in the Veterans centers around the country. They offer patterns both knitted and crocheted but as a stuborn Taurus I am going with my own selection of patterns. Very Happy

I realize this is country specific, but the Veterans groups in other countries might welcome the scarves too.

I bet they would, especially coming from a veteran.

If my mother were still around her needles would be flying!! I'm not a great knitter but I can manage scarves. Very Happy I'll pop up to the charity shops at the week-end and see what wool they have. Hey I could knit a few Dr Who scarves - well, on second thoughts, maybe not for veterans. Rolling Eyes

Eileen, some of them might enjoy a nice Dr. Who scarf just not as long as his was. I have been saving up the odd bits and partial skeins of yarn from other projects to make one for myself.
