I'm looking for someone who would like to give me a weekly decorating tip to post on my website. The tips can be short wuick tips or long lengthy ones, as long as they are your own. If you would like to do this I would gladly put your information, a biography and a link to your site on the page where the tips are given. Let me know if any one is interested. Thank you.

I'm just a keen amateur I'm afraid and tend to rely on tips from others when it comes to home decorating. Embarassed

My great nieces bedroom was done as a garden. Her drape rods are a garden hose filled with cement, a real picket fence is on her wall with painted flowers behind it and flowing over the fence.
Her brother's room has a real treehouse in one corner. They bolted some boards to two walls in the corner then put a 4 x 4 in the room and built a platform. The top was to be neat boards but my brother decided to make it look more childish so the boards go every which way. Make sure the have spaces the kids can't get a head stuck or fall out of. Before starting the tree house they painted a tree on the wall. You can draw your tree on a transparency and project it on the wall then just paint it. His tree was a winter tree, he complained it didn't have leaves and looked dead. He had fun building it with grandpa and his friends like it.
I don't know where the ideas came from but each attempt would be unique.

That is a great idea, even though I have girls they would still love a tree house in their room...Who wouldn't?

The garden bedroom sounds very cute. I did over my back bedroom with a pale yellow paper that has a pretty shade of pointed ivy randomly crawling upward. It gives the feeling of being outdoors, which I love in the cold months. This is especially nice in the early afternoon when the sun streams in the windows and I am sitting here at my computer. I also painted the woodwork a pale yellow to get the full effect - much nicer than the previous white.

cyoung35, setting up an RSS feed on your site to automatically grab a tip from a site like CNN Home & Garden section, etc. is a great way to do this. If you need help with this, there's plenty available on Google. It does require a bit of HTML know-how though.

Hope that helps!
