These tomatoes ripen to a burgundy color. They are absolutely beautiful. Large and odd shaped but good tasting.
They look absolutely delicious, I think they could be beef steak tomatoes which is one of the species that I wanted to plant after I can get success from my Project Tomato.
That's all I ever grew before this year. These are an unusual kind of tomato. A heirloom type. They are dark and deep burgundy when totally ripe weather it be done on the vine or in the house. Most of them are misshapen.The smaller ones are normal. The odd shape happens when they are getting larger. These are not beefsteaks.
I am totally sorry I can't remember the name of them. they look like Marianas peace or maybe JD's Special from Central Texas. I deleted the PM from my box. I never thought about it. There were so many great heirlooms last year and I have liked all of them I grew. I will try to get dome new pictures of the new varieties up sometime...but time? where are you?.

That may be what they are. My hubby called them purple but they are almost black. One of mine would have certainly been top on the contest for heavy tomatoes 2014 but we didn't get a picture of it and we ate it. :'( :'( They are gigantic this year.

They kind of look like the Cherokee Purples that I tried to grow this year. A lot of them were misshapen and cat-faced.
well, I grew them both last year, but I am leaning towards the CP more than the black krim. BK's seem to have a much darker green shoulder than the one in your picture. What does the foliage look like? Was it potato leaf or regular leaf?
Ware, your toms are awfully good to look at...inside and out. You must be quite proud of those. Well done, miss.
