I've been wanting to build a waterfall in my back yard and I don't want to spend a lot of money. Does anyone know of some materials and techniques to use that can give me that real rock waterfall look and feel?

Hi again!!

Here are a few sites that you might find interesting.

www.cadsmith.com/petes_pond/waterfall.html

http://clearwaterlandscapes.com/article_build_waterfall.htm

Hope they're of some use to you. Very Happy

I'd show you how we went about building ours but progress has ground to a halt as we have tiny froglets leaping all over the mound of earth which will, eventually, be our waterfall. I suppose we'll have to give them another couple of weeks to disperse before we can begin construction. Ah well we did want a wildlife garden so I can't really complain. Laughing Laughing

Having been a waterfall builder for the past 18 years, I can tell you it gets easier and easier the more you do. Usually it is just a matter of placing rocks so you like the sound and so the water does not leak out the sides, the back of the waterfall or splash out because the fall is too high for the pond.
