Great Andie I see you've got the hang of posting photographs!!!!

It's lovely to see your pets. Very Happy Icurus is a handsome bird isn't he and seems to be really enjoying his water melon. Is he allowed to fly free around the house? Bet he can be a bit of a rascal. Smile Spike obviously loves to pose for the camera. It looks as if he's saying " This is my best side you can take your picccie now" Laughing Laughing Then there's gorgeous Misty!!! How old is she and how does she gets on with the two birds?
Thank you soooo much for posting your photographs I've really enjoyed seeing them. Keep them coming. Mr. Green

Eileen,
The dog is 7 years old. The birds are in cages during the day when I'm at work but when I get home they are out. I have stands for them around the house so I can take them with me. The little cockatiel is the one I have to be very careful with because he likes to fly down on the floor and wander around and chew everything! I joke around and say that if he was left alone by mistake and we came home there would just be a toothpick left of the house (he's like a termite)! Very Happy The bigger bird will stay put on a stand and doesn't chew as much. He begs for food believe it or not. I give him some of my dinner every night (the safe things for him to have), last night he had a peice of steak and mashed potatos with peas (spoiled rotten!). Even the dog doesn't get that! Very Happy Do you have any pets?

No Andie I don't have any pets myself now - not since my old friend 'Blue' the Golden Labarador died a couple of years ago. Sad However, if you look under Slithering snake and rascally rat you'll see two of the pets my daughter, Laura, has!! The snake is now about 15" long and has shed its skin twice.

I used to be a Veterinary nurse and still take in sick or injured wild creatures so that keeps me busy. Rolling Eyes The latest was a young blackbird that was about to be eaten by a neighbours cat. It had me up at 4am every morning to give it its first feed of meal worms and didn't go to sleep until around 10pm. I finally returned it to the wild when it could fly and feed itself. Can't say I wasn't pleased to see it go as it meant I could, finally, get a decent nights sleep!!!!! Very Happy

I really enjoyed hearing about your pets so any funny little stories you have to tell about them I'd love to hear them. Smile

Thanks for the compliments re: my pets. I love them. Very Happy Eileen, can't say I'm a big fan of snakes but that one in the picture is very pretty. Beautiful design on its skin!

Frank,
Thank you, yes, sometimes I come up with a good picture or two. I'm in no way a professional, but I do enjoy taking pictures and every once in a while I get a really good shot. I have tons and tons of pictures, my friends and family always know that I will have a camera with me whenever something is going on. And yes, I think my birds eat better than me a lot of the time! Laughing
