And it isn't the one I had been working on since the ice storm in January Not a pet yet, but working on it// New Photos. BW (BlackWhite) as we finally started calling him has decided that he (yep it's a boy) doesn't want to be an indoor cat. I have gotten him in several times to eat special canned food and he would play but then would start scratching the front door frame to get out. He doesn't even hang around the yard like he used to either.

Over the course of the last few months he was joined at the feeding bowls every morning by Spooky (solid black with green eyes), Junior (looks exactly like Spooky but is smaller) Marmalade who disappeared about two months ago and Fluffy (a neighbors cat that gets let out every morning)
Spooky started coming up to me for pettings and showed an interest in coming in. He came in last Saturday and hasn't wanted to go back outside since. He now has a domed litter box, several toys and has gotten used to us enough to sit in our laps in the evening for some lovin'

In his new favorite napping place....my desk chair.
His eyes really are a vivid green, the color just washed out with the flash.

I think we'll be expecting many photos of Spooky now Toni :-D He reminds me of a dear pet we had in the 90's, solid black but Spooky looks to be a bit longer in size.

Congrats on your new (cute) master!

Ahhh Toni I see you have become the chosen servants of a very handsome cat. Isn't it funny how a cat always seems to know just the right people to pay homage to him? ;) Spooky certainly looks very comfortable on your (sorry his) desk chair.

Yep, my job as a pet servant has been interesting this past week.
He has this funny little "yip" sound he makes when his food bowl is empty. It is never really ever empty but in the middle of the bowl he can see the bottom of it and as far as he is concerned it's empty....nevermind that there is food piled an inch high along the edges of the bowl, that middle 'hole' means it is empty.

He had his first trip to the Vet yesterday. Our youngest daughter works at PetSmart and they have a Vet office in the store. She took him in for a general checkup, nail clipping, heart worm test, Rabies shot and a couple of other shots that cats need. She was working there yesterday so they took care of all that between other customers. About mid afternoon she texted us to say that since Spooky was literally climbing the wall in the exam room, they were going to sedate him to get the rest of the work done.
He came home so loopy but very docile, slept a while then started requiring almost constant attention. I think he wanted to make sure we still loved him.

He doesn't have worms - heart or other types - no fleas or ear mites and is the perfect size.

The Vet estimated that he is at least 18 months old and maybe a few months older than that. So next month he will be neutered and chipped.
