Hello
One of my indoor orchids flowering now - this morning I took a picture to show you. Its Phalaenopsis of unknown name (to me)- couple of years ago friend gave me this nearly dead and dry orchid and I've been nursing it since then. This is its first flowering - its delicate pale lemon colour with pink lip and pale pink stripes.
PS- I am not very good with pictures - this damn chair kept getting in my way
Love Lara

Lara, the orchid is beautiful. Good job nursing it thru to bloom like that.
I lived in Florida for 5 years a life time ago and really tried to grow an orchid but we were just not compatible.

Very pretty, it is something I want to try, maybe when I get my conservatory.

Oh I love orchids!!! I have three at the moment and want more!! I too have a pale lemon one like yours plus a white and purple one. They're not in bloom at the moment so it's really great to see yours flowering. Thanks for sharing your orchid with us Lara.

Beautiful orchid E.O.T, I think it's great that you were able to nurse it back to health. You obviously took care of it well.
And don't worry about the photo, it looks fine to me
I'd bet if the orchid could talk it would be flowing with praise for you.

Love the color of your Orchid. There's 2 people I know that grow them. They both say its one of the hardest kind of flower to grow. Great pic.

What a great way to wake up this morning...with a great photo of a beautiful orchid. I have tried them with no success at all. I can keep them alive, but they will not flower for me. I think I fuss with them too much, or not enough.

Thanks everyone. I was exiting for me to see first roots appear, then a couple of leaves then a spike and now flowers - took awhile, but rewarding in the end.

Oh Lara, that's a really lovely Phal. , good job you saved it's little life.
Orchids are one of my weaknesses, there are quite a few out in my glasshouse.
This time of year, it's the Dendrobiums and Phals that are putting on a show,
along with a few Oncidiums, and some of the Catts are beginning to set buds.

I keep rescuing orchids from our local garden centre when they sell them off cheap - boy they come home poorly. I have about 8 now and they all seem to be growing well, so fingers crossed that I am rewarded with flowers as beautiful as yours!
Gorgeous gorgeous orchid!
