Plants that repel pests.

    Jane and Donna wanted to know what plants would deter rabbits and moles. When searching for information for them I came across this list that may be of some use to you all:-

    Thanks Eileen. I am guessing for these plants to work, they'd have to be planted (companionly) right next to another plant that is susceptible to the pest? So if I have a problem with ticks in my yard.....if I plant bunches of chrysanthemums it might lower the population?

    Now that I think of it, pyrethrum comes from chrysanthemums & is one of the pesticides used for ticks.....Hmmm. Chrysanthemums suddenly seem more appealing to me!

    Thanks Eileen... I've saved this and printed out the list.
    I already see some stuff I'm going to add this year.
    Hmmm... garlic repels Peach Tree borers... guess who's going to be planting some garlic real soon!
