|
Before the idea of the electric totems came to me,
I used single lamp globes to make a number of these hanging lights.
I still like them a lot, they always remind me of fireflies in a jar.
Nothing could be simpler, just find or fashion a hanger, drop in a string of mini-lites,
and . . . walla.
By now you may have noticed that I have a glass fetish.
This is where the bigger one hangs, amongst a bunch of other . . . . . . . junk.

I LOVE THEM ALL! I have a real passion for coloured glass, especially blue glass, but it seems to be trendy at the moment and you can't pick up cheap bits over here like that! I would love things like that to hang in my conservatory! I am going to have to keep my eyes peeled and try to use my imagination when I see things!

Wowsers the mini-lites make all of the difference. So simple yet so interesting to look at. My Gnome Home is going to look great!

Those are great ZuZu. I saw some awesome copper and glass tealight hangers at a gift shop today. One was green and one was blue. I understand about the glass fetish, you can't walk in my bedroom because of all of the glass. I really need a shelving unit.

Zuzu those are gorgeous!!! I'm another glass lover, my favourite colour is ruby red, and I would be proud to have something like your 'firefly lights' in my garden.

I think you found a bunch that loves the glass here. I dream of glass. Red, blue, amber-oh my. And let's not forget green.
