We are under a tornado warning and the storms that are coming this way ahead of the front are bringing rain and possibly hail. This is November but we are just now getting the typical spring weather that we haven't had in two years.

As the front moves closer, the temps ahead are in the mid 70's and behind the front are in the 30's. It has not gotten here yet tho so we are still hot and muggy.

I may have to stay up all night. The wintry mix of freezing rain should start around midnight, sleet a couple of hours after that and by midmorning we should be getting snow for the rest of the day. Maybe even a 1-3 inch accumulation.

I am soooo excited, we don't get this very often. Oh, shoot, I forgot to get some potted plants into the back room. I didn't realize we would be getting rain storms before the front so I thought I could wait until Randy gets home a little after 7.

Ooooooohhhhh, the wind has changed direction and the cool down has begun. When I started typing this the temp outside was 74, it is now 62 and the wind is picking up. Very Happy Very Happy

Enjoy your snow and cold weather Toni, I have 2 more plants to move, I forgot my mother-in-law tongue, it got nipped a little already. I want to trim back my sweet potatoe vine and put it under wraps for the freeze to.

Hang on Toni and enjoy the snow. It is forecasted to be heading our way by Friday. We are leaving Friday night about 8 for a trip to Ohio with the church Bible quiz team - I don't look forward to driving in a lot of snow.

It was 67 earlier today but is 45 now. It has been raining since 2. It is to turn to a wintery mix tomorrow and snow tomorrow night. They are saying 8-12 inches of snow Friday. I am hoping this is one of the forecast that misses us. Wannabe

We didn't have rain or snow but have wind. It was 28F when I went to work at 5:30. Didn't look when we came in tonight. May go down as low as 10 tonight and then move on east. I hope it doesn't come again. It's COLD!! Dooley

Well, the heavy rain didn't start until a couple of hours ago and right now it is coming down like a waterfall out there. If it is coming down like this when it is cold enough for sleet or snow, we could be buried alive in the wonderful white stuff.

Hope you made it through all right. We have the same situation today. When we went to bed it was 70 and still is this morning. The "clash of the titans" will get here in late afternoon. Our worst storms have been at this time of year. I'm off to get my last 2 plants in an open my storm house and evict any 6ft. long visitors. Watch out snakeys cause here I come! Cool

The temp didn't drop as quickly as they thought, it is almost 8 a.m. and just now at 32 degrees. So the overnight sleet and freezing rain didn't happen...we did get 2 inches of rain tho so you can imagine what the streets would be like if that had fallen and frozen on everything. The rain came in a whopping loud thunderstorm, thankfully by then it was too cold for tornado conditions.
We are still supposed to get a wintry mix during the day but the good stuff will stay west of us Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad Crying or Very sad

Randy is tucked away in his home office working, Amanda doesn't have college classes today the campus is closed, Randy went to the grocery store last night for essentials we were low on including birdseed. So other than feeding the birds in a few minutes there is not reason for any of us to leave the house today.
Unless we do get something pretty to take a picture of and of course if it does start snowing I will be standing, coffee cup in hand, in the middle of it.

Sounds like you are all getting the weather we usually have this time of year here in Ontario! It has been very mild here and rainy, but I think that is going to change starting later today. Everything looks so BLAH so I'd like some nice white snow to cover it up!

I'm glad the rain and snow missed us. I don't think it's been this cold since we moved from Wisconsin. I don't think I heard the weather from Flagstaff yet. They always get cold and snow. My sister said it was cold and windy in Phoenix, too. Hope it passes quickly and doesn't come back all winter. If this is a warmer than normal winter I don't know what a cold one would be except the ones in Wisconsin. Wannabe said they were having 6 to 10 inches of snow. Dooley
