As promised here are some pictures from the 24 hour run that Tom was in.
Here is the gazebo at the center of the track where music played for the runners.
Here is Dooley in front of the gazebo to give you an idea of the size of it.
Here is the start and finish line. The time shows up here. In the tent are the race officials. Each runner has an ankle bracelet that recorded each lap and the runner's name and milage accumulation.
Courtney and Tom scoring another lap.
This is Ron. He told me he liked my beard when he went by. He was working on 72 hours. He has run at this same site for several years. When he completes this 72 hour run he will have over 1,000 miles, and will get a special award.
This is John. He is going to run 72 hours. At the end of 24 hours he had over 130 miles. He kept a steady pace and focused on the track ahead.
Courtney just finished her last lap at 50.02 miles. Now she and Kirsten are watching to see Tom come around the corner to the finish for his last lap at 74.56 miles.
Tom just finished and is "home" again.
A family shot after the run. From the left, dr, Erin, Tom, Dooley and Kirsten.
Our heroes, Courtney, Tom and a cup of Starbucks. Richard and Sharon have both used the term "soldier on". Now, we know what this means. A note for pondlady, Courtney has been a vegetarian since age eleven. Doesn't seem to have hurt her any.

Thanks for the photos DR and Dooley. I agree with Eileen, nice family shot. That takes so much endurance. No way my feet would hold up.
Love the gazebo, gonna have to see if Richard will build me one just like it.

You are a beautiful family.
You all have every right to be VERY proud of yourselves and each other.
What a great venue for the run.
