I looked out the back door this afternon and saw the two cats with what appears to be a mouse in front of one of them (it could be a bird - I didn't go out in the cold to find out). The other cat (Longfellow) appeared to be waiting on the step for Hard Hat to leave him the treat. I took the picture and walked away. Checked back a few minutes later and Hard Hat was walking off and sure enough Longfellow was headed for his treat.

Notice how green my grass is for January.

It does look like they are in a standoff, I would say first to blink looses, but Hard Hat has his eyes closed. Maybe it was a challenge of first one to move cause their belly got too cold was the looser.

They are pretty cats. Many years ago we had a black and white one that my oldest daughter named Fudge.

Hehe that's cute Polly, looks like they are waiting for one of the others to fall asleep so they can collect their tasty treat.

On another note, poor birdie (it does look like a bird from here).

At least they weren't fighting over it. Cats can be so silly.

It's a staring contest all right. Hard Hat must have blinked.
