You are right Pete and dr i'm always mortified when I let people read my poetry. Still have not let anyone read one in the same room with me. Your paintings are just wonderful thanks for sharing, the trains made my day the others too but Like I said I always loved trains.

Fantastic paintings Pete, I'm green with envy These should definitely be hanging pride of place upon your living room walls. Listen closely and I'm sure you'll hear them whisper "Please don't put up back in the loft".

Jan - you asked if I'd ever considered showing them.
Watercolours are just a hobby for me that I pick up and put down in between many other hobbies, like playing keyboard and compiling CDs for my friends, modelmaking projects - I'm interested in architecture and have created a few elaborately detailed dolls houses - then there's outdoor garden model railways, and of course the reason why I came to this forum, ponds.
It's just good to come back to painting afresh each time without worrying about what others think of them. They're basically for my own amusement.
Pete

I understand, (sorta) why you don't want to show your work. I think it is so wonderful that I would want to look at it all the time.

I think an artist, in any form, is always thier worst critic. Your work is wonderful. Show us more.

I know lots of others have said this already but they really are beautiful, Pete!
I wish I had your talent - they shouldn't be hidden away in the loft!
Well done and thanks for sharing!

Hi, Pete;
Welcome aboard. Allow me to add my words of admiration and appreciation; I'm not artistically talented but have strong opinions about what I like and your paintings are marvelous. I would repeat what some of the others said, 'Show us as many as you will'!!!!!
Hank

I would love to have a painting like the Somerset cottages. I can never afford to purchase good originals so I make do with visiting galleries whenever I can. I have a friend who is an artist and she always knows where the good shows are.
I am so glad that you enjoy your hobby because I sure enjoy looking at the results!

Pete,
I'm new here, but I have to agree that your paintings are incredible.
I could sit and look at them for a very long time, and meditate on them, and the place I would be in would be heaven.
