Take one rock, some paints and some imagination and what do you get?
These fellows:

We did some rock art with the children at the library one summer. We let them go outside and pick their own rock and they used big colored markers to decorate them. They were a sight to see. There probably are pictures of them at the Black Canyon City Library because one of the volunteers took pictures of the story hours every Thursday. We had filled several albums by the time I left there. Dooley

Many years ago I found a river rock that suggested a particular animal to me.

After years out in the weather, the paint is rather badly worn,
but I wonder if you can still tell what I tried to make of it?

Not very original I'm afraid, we usually call him "Rocky",
but we are somewhat more "creative" when we stub a bare toe on him. Embarassed

Zuzu- I love that bunny. Here is my little contribution. This rock is actually an Indian artifact my hubby found. I said "that is a turtle." And so it came to be.

You should touch up the paint on Rocky, he's too cute to let fade away!
It's strange to me sometimes that, with all the rocks I have, I've never been inclined to paint a critter on them. I'll probably become obsessed with the hobby right after we move somewhere else!
