Our neighbor built this birdhouse and set it up on a tall post. This morning a little sparrow was peeking out. When dr tried to take it's picture it pulled it's head back inside. If you look hard you can just see it peeking but not the whole bird sitting in the hole. Dooley

Aww, I love to see birdies move into houses we put up for them. Smile
That's a great house your neighbor put up,
I love the rough bark.

The rough bark looks really good, I like the rustic look.

That reminds me, I need to clean out my birdhouses. None of them were nested in last year I guess because they were full of previous nests.

I feel as though spring is definately on its way and I think the birds do too. Mr. Green I love the bird house it's so much nicer than one of the mass produced ones.

Nice looking birdhouse. My husband built several last year to attract blue birds. Only got swallows but they were fun to watch except when they swooped down at me and the lawnmower.

Lovely, and I guess up a pole means it is safe from local cats and other wildlife.

We only have one birdhouse. I would love more but I do worry about all the cats that roam our street. Every year we have lots of dead babies left in the garden, or nests that get trashed. Such a shame.

Frank, not our gnome, stood and glued each piece of bark on the house individually. He takes great care when he makes them. He has several that he made but I like this one best. I can see it best, too. Dooley

I would love to put some birdhouses, but like EJ, I am afraid because of the cats. A recipient of a totem birdfeeder bought for her by a friend loved it because it was on a copper pole and the squirrels couldn't get to it. I guess that would work for cats too. I bought a really nice rough bark birdhouse at a garage sale last year for 50 cents. I think I will try putting it on a pole and put it up outside the kitchen window.

I love the little sparrows Dooley, they are so comical to watch.I have two more bird houses to put up. I sure wish birds could live in them but the many cats around here would sure get them.Oh well I can always wish.I do wish D.R.could have caught him out.
