We stopped at a little hardware store today and there ia a garden center next to it. We went in and they had gotten their seeds in the day before. I got a blue picotee morning glory. The pic shows it as a double, but the description on the back says single and double, very pretty. I got Malabar spinach which is a climber, both ornamental and edible. We got two different gourds also, a dipper gourd and a birdhouse gourd, but they are not shaped like your traditional birdhouse gourds. Hope they do good.

I will start some spinach in my wheelbarrow soon. That will keep it away from the ants. I love spinach right from the garden. It sounds like you will have lots of morning glories this year. Dooley

I grew malabar spinach once but didn't like the taste. I think I will try it again since palates change. I bought some seeds at Wal-mart since they didn't have any bulbs. I got filet green beans and some swiss chard and sunflowers for now. I want some Italian green beans too. Happy growing!

Wow those guords sound great! I would love to have access to a greater selection, but over here they really are seen as a novelty, and a lot of people aren't interested in growing them if you can't eat them! I love them and am going to try much harder with mine this year now that I have swotted up from Bethies drying instructions.
