Terracotta creatures are all over the landscape these days.
Assemble your own pot people or pot pets from cracked terracotta containers you have around.
String the pots together with a wire through the drainage holes to form torso, arms, and legs, and use a larger pot for the head.

Because this is a garden feature, you'll want to use plants to finish off your creation.
The pot person shown here holds a bouquet of basil and has hair made of creeping baby's-breath.
The fur on the pot pooch is blue fescue and moss.
Such terracotta treasures are available at garden centres if creating your own seems too intimidating.

I found them! I want to make the pooch. I can't tell what they did for the pooch's ears - any guesses?

I edited the original post to add the images Prim found back into to their original context. Prim you're a star :D I'd forgotten how cool those pot creatures were.

I'm just happy we found them - google is a marvelous thing. They were part of an older Better Homes and Garden article. :)

Good way to use the broken pots. Just keep slipping out of my hands lol. I had a very large one brake and crack so I layed it on its side and then put moss and a big frog coming out of it. That was years ago. Thanks for the ideas.
