For the past week it has just been cold and a few flurries, but today we are getting it pretty good. We have snow showers coming through and now the wind is starting to pick up. I went in to exercise this morning and the roads were pretty much clear. I had about 2 incjes of new snow here at home and they had only about 1/2 in at the Health Center. But coming home was a different matter. Another plast had moved in and I was starting to wonder if I was going to get home. The wind is out of the west and I was driving north so the snow was just blowing across the road and it was almost a white out. Back here at the house there isn't much wind as we are protected some by trees.

Gosh CK that's some snow you're getting!! Thank goodness you made it home OK. We've had very little snow here in Scotland which is very strange. Confused

We had only one snow fall of any mention and even that wasn't a patch on that Capt. As I've said before I'll welcome anyone to send me on their snow as I'm having a severe case of non-white Xmas withdrawal symptoms. Two weeks worth should suffice Mr. Green

It does make for pretty pictures, but none for me, thank you.
Even if I really enjoyed it, my area is simply not equiped to cope with it.

Sounds like a frightening trip home Shocked , CK, glad you got in safely.

Glad you made it home safe Capt. We have had some of the same conditions here and I avoid driving in it if at all possible. You are lucky to have tree protection...I have none and when it blows, it BLOWS!
