Best I could do for you Dooley. They seem to be mainly black or dark gray.

Why not? I told you I'm starting a new quilting project and the backing features zoo animals, so why not the front too? Dooley

There is an elephant on the backing but it's brown. Did you ever see a brown elephant? The eye was black but with a brown elephant you never know. There was a gray elephant, but his eye was almost closed. Who can tell? DR thought I should make the eyes blue. Well you can only see one eye. Do animals in general usually have brown or black eyes? I know cats can have yellow or green eyes. I knew a dog that had one brown eye and one blue eye too. Dooley

Can't wait to see your quilt Dooley.
What ever you make his eyes I'm sure it will be pretty as all you do is a master piece.

I went through much the same quandary Dooley when I was making soft toys!!! Eyes can make or break a toy (or quilt) and I like to get them as near to the real ones as possible. Very Happy
