|
Watched a show on TV in the week where they sung the praises of the black grape and how good black grape juice is for your arteries and great for your heart. It suddenly struck me that in my freezer I had a sack of black grapes from mums vines. I usually make jelly with them, but I decided to process them and make black grape juice.
Ended up with in the region of 8 pints of juice.
Then I decided, as I had a lot of other fruits in the freezer, to make some smoothies. I have never made a smoothie before, so it was trial and error, but the outcome was fab!
2 bananas, 1 kiwifruit, handful raspberries, handful strawberries, enough grape juice to make it into a drink.
- It has seperated here, but a quick mix and it is lovely!

Not fair EJ, you are making my mouth water. The pitcher makes for a lovely presentation.

Oh I love black grape juice. I drink about a litre a day!!!
The smoothies sound delicious EJ. You might have called me so that I could have tested them out for you.

Suprisingly filling to. I had a large glass for my breakfast and contemplated having a slice of toast to, but didn't need it. Felt really satisfied and lively. Going to make up some more today, and tomorrow the shopping is coming (I am cheating with the kids off school and having it delivered as I don't spend to much) and in that I have some fruits and yoghurt coming to experiment even more!

E J, you have inspired me! Here in Florida strawberry country the farmers are in the midst of the harvest, so I'm going to get some and make jelly, preserves, and some wine, too.
