I hope this is the proper place to post this question...Calamity mentioned horse manure in the welcome thread and it got me to thinking.
I have access to my neighbors manure pile. He has horses and he uses wood shavings in the stalls. The pile was started in May of 2006. Would this be suitable for my veggie garden even with the wood shavings? And how long do you think it would take to be "ready"?
