**I planted a packet of seeds last summer.All the plant either died are didn't bloom except a yellow
flower that I didn't know and a dill looking plant
for some reason I stuck the plant in the plastic house along with everything else.Haven't even notice it much except it was growing.Today I went out to take a few plants out to get fresh air.I went to the back to get one of my plants and here was this pretty blue flower blooming on this plant.Can someone name it.
This is what the plant looks like
I hope you can see it good enough to ID it
It has lots of buds that are abot to open

Nigella resow themselves like mad. I never plant them any more. I just pull up those that sprout where I don't want them. Let them go to seed. You'll love it!

The pictures of Nigela are on page 39 of the Select Seeds catalog and that is where I remembered seeing them......can you tell I looked thru that catalog way too many times

I just love Nigella, but it hates me. I've tried to grow it many times but it didn't do well for me. The year we moved from our old house, I planted some under the window and it did nothing. When I went back to visit the neighbor, there it was blooming in all it's glory underneath that window! I did get some seeds to try again this year and I hope it grows for me!

Toni, that is where I have gathered a lot of my plant info, endless hours browsing the seed and plant catalogs. They have loads of good information in them. Send off for the Thompson and Morgan seed catalog. They have tons of info and even have a chart telling the ease of germination and ease of care for each seed. Plus they have seeds for plants I haven't seen in the American catalogs.

We call Nigella 'Love in the Mist' here. It looks really pretty growing wild in large swathes.
