So very sorry to hear of this, EJ. Sometimes it is easier to talk to people who are more removed from the situation. A grief chat line can be helpful also. I lost my own Dear Mother just over a month ago and I just don't think Life will ever be the same. Good thoughts coming your way to help you be Strong. We are Women. We are Strong. Cool

Thank you thank you thank you. You are a great bunch and it does help to shout, even if I am doing it silently striking the keys...poor keyboard has taken quite a pounding!

I am fine, and will be fine and knowing that you are all here is a great help. I am going to find a plant, something called Sarah to plant in the garden. I already have something from her on my allotment, a gift she sent me at Christmas so when I am in my two favourite places, she will be there with me.

EJ I can't say anything more than what has already been spoken by alot of wonderful people here at Gardenstew but I do want you to know that Sarah, you and everyone involved are in my thoughts. I have also been affected by cancer in my family and it is a horrible horrible disease.

She has gone, peacefully in her sleep.

Thank you for all of your kind messages, they really have helped.

EJ there's nothing that I can say that will make you feel any better at the moment but my thoughts are with you and Sarah's family at this, the saddest, of times.

Aww, I'm so awfully sorry EJ,
hoping that your many lovely memories of your friend may,
bit by bit, ease your feelings of loss.

The following is exerpted from a poem I wrote many years ago,
I was never a skilled poet, but I hope you won't mind.

And here am I, wrapped in my grief,
once more I'm left behind,
but t'was a gift, our lives entwined,
'tho it were far too brief.

Zuzu, your words are perfect.

Thanks everyone for your kind thoughts and prayers. Spring is coming, and I have a lot of seeds and plants that Sarah sent me recently, so I am going to concentrate on gardening, just as she would want me to.
