and today I can see them all on top of the soil and it looks like they have sprouted.I am not too sure if this is how they sprout. No green stems or leaves yet - just a inch long white shoot(?).
What I am confused about is - should I leave it as they are or push them back under the soil?
Any other suggestions will be appreciated.

Tina, nature knows what it is doing. Some of the new sprouts will be white to begin with.
