We went and picked them up today after work. It was strange seeing where I grew up, it's been so long since I've been there. Nothing much has changed in the actual town, it looks pretty much the same. The house I grew up in has been added on too.
Oh, I almost forgot, the daylilies. He said about 20 or 30 , well he counted at least 50 plants, all very healthy and very big. I will share some with the ladies who have given me so many of their plants, plant some and pot some up to sell. I am going to try to start saving the money I make from selling plants to buy a real greenhouse, one the cats can't destroy. As you can tell I'm a happy camper.

Oh boy now that was certainly worth the trip wasn't it?!!! Fifty plus daylilies - it must be the best freebie yet. Very Happy I'd be tempted too to take a day off and plant them all. Mr. Green

Call in sick, 'Lily' needs you with her when her life has been so uprooted and you will be sick with worry until you help her adjust to her new living arrangements.

Or use a personal day if you have them since you have to personally attend to the care and well being of 'Lily'.

Sounds like you hit the jackpot. Who wouldn't be happy with that many free plants. We all give you permission to take a day off and tend to your new "children".

I am glad I had everyone's permission to take a day off, but WalMart didn't agree with it. Someone else called in, so they called me in early and I only just got home. My babies will have to wait till Monday. I have them in boxes covered with leaves, under a big oak tree, and they are being wet down twice a day. They look really good and I have several places in the yard to put them.
