I had put the canna rhizomes that I bought last week in pots 5 days back. After reading the replies here I think it will be a better idea to put them in the ground - if I can till it.
Do you think it will harm them in any way - I mean putting them in pots, taking them out and replanting them again.

I don't think a canna can be harmed no matter what you do to it. Put it in the ground, or in the water. I think you could probably pitch it on the roof and it would grow.

It will be fine to just dig a hole and stick them in.They will grow almost anywhere .Just don't plant them by your house they will spead big time.So go away from your house and fence.
